March
Lollapalooza Argentina
South America’s largest music festival, at the Hipódromo de San Isidro just outside the city, with more than 100 acts across five stages. Hotel demand spikes citywide for the weekend and brand activations cluster around it.
April
Feria Internacional del Libro
The Buenos Aires International Book Fair takes over La Rural for three weeks — its 50th edition in 2026, across more than 45,000 square metres. The single most important fact for event planners: La Rural is effectively unavailable from late April to mid-May.
August
Latam Digital Assets Conf
A two-day institutional conference on stablecoins, tokenisation and regulation, drawing banks, fintechs, exchanges and regulators. The most corporate room in the Buenos Aires crypto calendar, and the right week for closed-door executive dinners rather than open side events.
September
Buenos Aires Marathon
The city marathon closes major avenues across central Buenos Aires for the morning. Not an event window in itself, but a road-closure and load-in constraint worth checking against any Sunday programme.
Nerdearla
Five days at C. C. Konex, free to attend and streamed — the widest technology audience of the year in Buenos Aires and the largest free tech conference in the Spanish-speaking world. Strong for developer-facing activations, recruiting events and product launches aimed at the Argentine engineering community.
FIT International Tourism Fair
Latin America’s largest travel trade fair, held at La Rural. Relevant mostly as a venue-availability constraint at the end of September, immediately before the October peak begins.
October
Ekoparty
Latin America’s largest hacking and security conference, in its 22nd edition at the Centro de Convenciones Buenos Aires — 150+ talks, Villages, a Business Hall and six days of paid training beforehand. Security researchers plus the vendors who sell to them, which makes it the best week of the year for technical partner dinners and hiring events.
EVA — Exposición de Videojuegos Argentina
The oldest game-development event in Latin America, in its 24th edition, organised by ADVA with B2B rounds, a job fair and the EVA Awards. Part of the city’s TECweek, so the surrounding days carry other technology programming too. Venue not yet announced for 2026.
LABITCONF
The oldest Bitcoin and blockchain conference in Latin America, running since 2013, with the 2026 edition focused on enterprise and institutional adoption. Four days at Costa Salguero closing out the busiest month in the Buenos Aires calendar.

Three conferences across three different verticals inside four weeks: security (7–9), gaming (21–24) and crypto (29 Oct–1 Nov). Nothing else in the Buenos Aires year comes close for hospitality and brand activation — and nothing else is as tight, so book earliest of all.

Best Low-Pressure Windows
June, July and January are the quietest months for venues and rates — ideal for client retreats, executive forums and working sessions with nothing competing for the room. Avoid late April to mid-May: the Feria del Libro occupies La Rural for three straight weeks, and September carries Nerdearla and FIT back to back before the October peak begins.
