TOKEN2049: The World's Largest Crypto Event, Twice A Year
After producing 90+ events in Singapore and Dubai, TOKEN2049's two host cities, since 2022, here is everything we know about the world's largest crypto gathering: its history, real attendance, sponsors, costs and ROI, for anyone thinking about activating or hosting a side event around it.
What Is TOKEN2049? The World's Largest Crypto Event in Numbers
TOKEN2049 is a global Web3 conference series run semi-annually, a spring edition at Dubai's Madinat Jumeirah and a flagship autumn edition at Singapore's Marina Bay Sands. Where EthCC is a technical community conference, TOKEN2049 is the industry's commercial summit: exchanges, funds, institutions and founders converge for two high-velocity days of deal-making, wrapped in a deliberately festival-like production, ziplines across the expo floor, cold plunges, F1-week crossover in Singapore. Each edition anchors a citywide "TOKEN2049 Week" of 500–1,000 side events, which is where most of the actual business gets done.
TOKEN2049 History: Hong Kong To Singapore & Dubai (2017–2027)
Hong Kong 2017–2019 · London 2021–2022 · Singapore from 2022 · Dubai from 2024
TOKEN2049 started in Hong Kong in 2017 as a ~2,000-person regional gathering and anchor of the first Asia Crypto Week. After pandemic-era pop-ups in London, the 2022 pivot to Singapore changed its trajectory: the first Marina Bay Sands edition tripled previous attendance, and Dubai was added as a second annual edition in 2024. By 2025 the Singapore edition sold out at 25,000 attendees, the largest crypto event ever staged. In March 2026, the organiser postponed the Dubai 2026 edition (planned for 29–30 April) to 21–22 April 2027, citing ongoing regional uncertainty affecting safety, international travel and logistics, making Singapore the sole 2026 edition.
| Edition | Dates | City · Venue | Attendance | Side Events |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Singapore 2022 | Sep 28–29 | Marina Bay Sands | ~7,000 | ~180 |
| Singapore 2023 | Sep 13–14 | Marina Bay Sands | ~10,000 | ~400 |
| Dubai 2024 (launch) | Apr 18–19 | Madinat Jumeirah | ~10,000 | ~300 |
| Singapore 2024 | Sep 18–19 | Marina Bay Sands | 20,000 | ~800 |
| Dubai 2025 | Apr 30 – May 1 | Madinat Jumeirah | ~15,000 | 500+ |
| Singapore 2025 | Oct 1–2 | Marina Bay Sands (all 5 floors) | 25,000 · sold out | ~1,000 |
| Dubai 2026 | Apr 29–30 · postponed | Madinat Jumeirah | Moved to 2027 | - |
| Singapore 2026 | Oct 7–8 | Marina Bay Sands | Upcoming · sole 2026 edition | TBA |
| Dubai 2027 | Apr 21–22 | Madinat Jumeirah | Rescheduled 2026 edition | TBA |

TOKEN2049 Attendance & Side Events By Year
2022–2026 · Singapore vs Dubai · organiser-reported figures
TOKEN2049 By The Numbers
How this data was compiled: attendance figures per edition come from TOKEN2049's official announcements, post-event reports and press releases (e.g. Singapore 2025: 25,000 attendees, 500+ exhibitors, ~1,000 side events; Dubai 2025: 15,000 attendees, 500+ side events). Singapore 2024 was projected at 15,000 and officially reported as 20,000 in the organiser's post-event release; we use the post-event figure. These figures are self-reported by the organiser and are not independently audited. Side-event counts come from organiser-published TOKEN2049 Week figures cross-checked against CH3's portfolio tracker of publicly listed events. Dubai 2026 shows no bar: the edition was postponed to April 2027 in March 2026. Last verified: July 2026.
Two things stand out. Singapore attendance more than tripled in three years, 7,000 in 2022 to 20,000 in 2024 and a sold-out 25,000 in 2025, while the side-event count grew even faster, from ~180 to ~1,000, the densest satellite calendar in crypto. And the Dubai edition reached 15,000 attendees in just its second year, with registrations reportedly tracking toward a sell-out for 2026 before the edition was postponed to April 2027, a spring counterweight that, in normal years, gives brands two anchor moments per year on one conference relationship. The trajectory tracks the market-wide shift toward satellite calendars that our Crypto Event Report 2025 quantified across the whole industry.

CH3 Field Note · Singapore vs Dubai, From The Ground
- We've produced side events at every TOKEN2049 edition since Singapore 2022 and, in our view, the two editions are genuinely different products: Singapore is the flagship, bigger, broader, Asia-Pacific plus global capital, while Dubai skews institutional, Gulf-capital and BD-heavy.
- All attendance figures are self-reported by the organiser; there is no independent audit. The "sold out" Singapore editions do, in our on-site experience, feel genuinely at capacity, the venue and the week are visibly saturated.
- Singapore week collides with the F1 Grand Prix weekend, hotel rates spike hard, waterfront venues are contested by non-crypto buyers, and logistics windows tighten. Budget and book accordingly.
- Dubai has its own production realities: late-April heat pushes formats indoors or to sunset slots, licensing shapes F&B planning, and the best villa, yacht and beach-club inventory around Madinat Jumeirah is claimed months out.
Dubai 2026 → 2027: What The Postponement Means
- TOKEN2049 Dubai 2026 (planned 29–30 April) was postponed to 21–22 April 2027, announced in March 2026 in coordination with partners and stakeholders, citing ongoing regional uncertainty and its impact on safety, international travel and logistics.
- Tickets carry over automatically to the April 2027 dates, no action needed, or can be transferred to TOKEN2049 Singapore (7–8 October 2026).
- The near-term calendar consolidates on Singapore: the October 2026 edition at Marina Bay Sands becomes the industry's single anchor moment of the year, which we expect to concentrate side-event demand, and venue competition, even further.
- For planners, geopolitics is now a production variable: build contingency clauses into venue contracts, keep deposits staged, and hold a transfer plan for guest lists and formats between the two host cities.
Who Attends TOKEN2049?
capital & commercial decision-makers · 160+ countries per edition
One structural filter shapes this audience before anyone walks in: the price of entry. TOKEN2049 publishes no free student or volunteer allocation, and general passes run from US$399 early-bird to US$1,499 in late rounds, versus community conferences like EthCC, which reserves 500 free student and volunteer places and sells €125 single-day tickets. The hobbyist layer that fills a community conference is largely priced out here, so the badge mix skews professional by economic design.
The Audience, In Four Layers
- Exchanges, funds & institutions, the defining layer: global exchanges, market makers, VCs and, increasingly, TradFi institutions; recent editions drew speakers and delegations from major banks and asset managers.
- Founders & C-level operators, the organiser markets a heavily executive audience drawn from 4,000+ companies per edition; this is where launches, raises and partnerships get announced.
- BD, marketing & ecosystem teams, proportionally larger than at developer conferences; TOKEN2049 week is the industry's biggest commercial pipeline moment.
- Builders, media & enthusiasts, developers attend but are a smaller share than at EthCC or Devcon; media presence is heavy, and general-admission enthusiasts round out the badge mix.
Estimated Attendee Split
Source: TOKEN2049 publishes no official attendee-role breakdown, so these are indicative CH3 estimates based on the guest composition observed across our TOKEN2049 side-event productions in both host cities since 2022, the conference's commercial track and exhibitor structure, and organiser marketing (which claims a majority C-level audience, a figure we treat as promotional rather than audited). Ranges reflect variation between the Singapore and Dubai editions; Dubai skews more institutional and BD-heavy in our observation. Last reviewed: July 2026.
TOKEN2049 Sponsors & Sponsorship Cost
10 title sponsors in SG 2025 · bespoke prospectus · no public rate card
TOKEN2049 sells bespoke packages via a sponsorship prospectus, not a public rate card. The Singapore 2025 edition ran with a record roster led by ten title sponsors, OKX, BloFin, Coinbase, SPACECOIN, BingX, MetaEarth, Mesh Connect, TRON, Bitget and DWF Labs, above hundreds of exhibitor and branding slots spread across all five floors of Marina Bay Sands. Tickets are premium relative to community conferences: Singapore 2025 general passes climbed to $599 in the final sales rounds before selling out, while Dubai passes were listed from roughly $699 early-bird to ~$1,499 late-stage, with a special-access tier around $5,999, before the 2026 edition was postponed to April 2027. Singapore 2026 early-bird passes opened at US$399. For a market-wide view of what the packages behind the prospectus actually cost and convert, see our breakdown of what crypto conference sponsorships actually cost, and where the ROI is, which analysed the TOKEN2049 Dubai and Singapore prospectuses among six tier-1 events.
TOKEN2049 Exhibitors vs Attendance
How this data was compiled: exhibitor counts and attendance per edition come from organiser press releases and post-event reports (SG 2023: 300 exhibitors / 10,000 attendees; SG 2024: 400+ / 20,000 per official wrap-up; SG 2025: 500+ / 25,000 sold out; DXB 2025: 200+ / 15,000; SG 2026: 500+ / 25,000+ planned). All figures are organiser-reported. TOKEN2049 does not publish per-edition sponsor or media-partner totals, so exhibitors are the comparable floor-presence metric. Last verified: July 2026.
What The Exhibitor Curve Shows
- The audience is outgrowing the floor. From SG 2023 to SG 2025 attendance went 2.5x while exhibitor slots grew 1.7x, attendees-per-exhibitor climbed from ~33 to ~50, and Dubai runs scarcer still at ~75. Floor presence keeps gaining reach per slot, but each slot also fights 500 neighbours for the same walk-by attention.
- More brands activate off-floor than on it. Set the two organiser numbers side by side: SG 2024 had 400+ exhibitors and 800 side events; SG 2025 had 500+ exhibitors and ~1,000 side events. Roughly two side-event hosts for every expo booth, at TOKEN2049, the majority of brand activity has already left the venue.
What This Means For Brands
- The market context: our prospectus review put headline tiers at tier-1 conferences between $350K and $1M, with entry-level slots starting from a few thousand dollars, and the first assets to disappear were consistently the $15K–$85K all-attendee touchpoints: badges, lanyards, WiFi, registration.
- At 500+ exhibitors, floor attention is scarce: with an attendee's brand-receptive time split across hundreds of sponsors, the average sponsor gets on the order of 90 seconds per person, recall, not relationships.
- Budget benchmark: our July 2026 sponsorship ROI analysis benchmarked independent side events at a median of about $100 per guest, and measured per hour of brand attention, a hosted event runs at under a fifth of what a title-tier package costs. Ask the CH3 Singapore or CH3 Dubai team for current venue rate cards.

CH3 TOKEN2049 Side Events
from our portfolio · produced at every TOKEN2049 edition since Singapore 2022
Singapore 2025 peaked at ~1,000 satellite events, and Dubai 2025 carried 500+, investor breakfasts in DIFC, yacht mixers off Palm Jumeirah, rooftop takeovers on the Marina Bay skyline, desert hackathons and closing parties. That density is the point, our piece on where the real deals are actually happening makes the case that conference weeks are won off the expo floor, not on it. A selection of CH3-produced TOKEN2049 side events:
TOKEN2049 Side Events By Edition (2022–2026)
How this data was compiled: side-event counts per edition come from organiser announcements and post-event releases (SG 2024: 800 side events per the official wrap-up; SG 2025: ~1,000; SG 2026: 1,000+ announced), cross-checked against CH3's portfolio tracker of publicly listed TOKEN2049 Week events. Dubai 2026 is omitted (edition postponed). Counting methods for satellite calendars vary and unlisted private gatherings are invisible to all of them, so treat figures as directional. Last verified: July 2026.
What The Side-Event Curve Shows
- 5.5x in three Singapore editions. 180 → 400 → 800 → ~1,000: the SG satellite calendar has doubled or near-doubled almost every year and is now the densest conference week in crypto in absolute terms.
- Dubai compounds the same way, one cycle behind. ~300 in its launch year, 500+ in year two, tracking Singapore's growth curve almost exactly, which is worth remembering when the spring edition returns in April 2027.
- Relative to audience, TOKEN2049 is less saturated than it looks. ~1,000 events against 25,000 attendees is one side event per ~25 badges; EthCC at peak ran one per ~11. Each TOKEN2049 side event fishes from a deeper pool, part of why well-distributed events here fill fast even on brutal evenings.

How this data was compiled: city medians are calculated from contracted line items from CH3's internal contracting database for events delivered in Singapore and Dubai (2020–2026), extracted July 2026. Sample size is the number of line items behind each row's medians across both host cities. Treat rows with fewer than 20 line items as directional; ask us for a live quote at current rates. Some medians reflect partial line-item coverage (e.g. venue and F&B only) rather than full production budgets.
Reading The Singapore vs Dubai Numbers
- Dubai runs 1.5–3x Singapore for like-for-like mid-size and large formats, premium venue economics around Madinat Jumeirah and the Palm, plus concentrated conference-week demand.
- Singapore's headline risk is timing, not base rates: its medians look friendly, but TOKEN2049 week overlaps the F1 Grand Prix, expect waterfront venues and hotels to price well above these historical medians for that specific week.
- Per-guest cost falls with scale across the whole database: a 400-guest format runs ~€98/guest vs ~€234/guest for a 100-guest reception, big formats buy reach efficiently, small formats buy depth.
How To Activate Around TOKEN2049
the CH3 playbook · format · timing · distribution · both cities
- Pick your format by objective.
- Pipeline / capital → investor breakfast in DIFC or Marina Bay, yacht reception, executive dinner (15–60 pax)
- Developer adoption → technical workshop, hackathon corner or hacker house (30–150 pax)
- Brand awareness → rooftop or beach-club takeover, multi-day lounge, headline party (200–600 pax)
- Community → run club, breakfast series or co-working space (recurring, low cost)
- Book Singapore around the F1 calendar. TOKEN2049 SG shares its week with the Grand Prix: hotel blocks and waterfront venues go 5–6 months out, and rates that week bear little relation to normal Singapore pricing.
- Treat Dubai as a different production, not a copy-paste. Late-April heat pushes formats indoors or to sunset slots, F&B licensing shapes venue choice, and the villa/yacht inventory near Madinat Jumeirah is finite, plan formats for the city, not against a Singapore template.
- Counter-program a 500–1,000 event calendar. Evenings are saturated in both cities; mornings, day-2 lunches and the arrival weekend are structurally underserved slots where turnout quality jumps.
- Layer distribution. Luma listing + partner co-hosts + curated approval flows outperform paid promotion, and the right voices amplify everything, so start with our guide to choosing KOLs for your crypto event.
- Measure it properly. Set the success metric before the first invite, pipeline touched, builders onboarded, share of voice, and hold the event to it afterwards; Measuring What Events Actually Do lays out the framework we use.
- Run the semi-annual compounding play. One format, two cities, twice a year: a spring Dubai edition and an autumn Singapore edition let venue relationships, guest lists and brand recall build on a six-month rhythm no annual conference can match. With Dubai's pause, 2026 is a single-edition year, the next spring edition lands 21–22 April 2027.
CH3 Track Record At TOKEN2049
- We've produced events at every TOKEN2049 edition since Singapore 2022, from 25-person closed-door summits to 400-guest brand takeovers, as part of 90 CH3 productions across the two host cities and 320+ crypto events worldwide.
- Permanent local teams in both host cities: CH3 Singapore (2,400+ guests hosted) and CH3 Dubai (6,400+ guests hosted), we know the venues, the licensing and the booking windows because we work them year-round, not just in conference week.
- No handovers, the production manager who scopes your brief is the one running your show day on-site.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many people attend TOKEN2049?
TOKEN2049 Singapore 2025 sold out at 25,000 attendees from 160+ countries with 500+ exhibitors, per organiser-reported figures, making it the largest crypto event in the world. TOKEN2049 Dubai drew around 15,000 attendees at its 2025 edition; the 2026 Dubai edition was postponed to April 2027. Figures are self-reported by the organiser and not independently audited.
Where and when is TOKEN2049 held?
TOKEN2049 runs semi-annually: a flagship autumn edition at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore (next: 7–8 October 2026) and a spring edition at Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai. The Dubai 2026 edition was postponed to 21–22 April 2027 due to regional uncertainty affecting safety, travel and logistics; existing tickets carry over automatically or can be transferred to Singapore. Each edition anchors a citywide week of hundreds of side events.
How much does it cost to sponsor TOKEN2049?
TOKEN2049 sells bespoke packages via a sponsorship prospectus rather than a public rate card. CH3's July 2026 review of 340+ packages across six tier-1 crypto conferences, the TOKEN2049 Dubai and Singapore prospectuses among them, found headline tiers between $350K and $1M, entry-level slots from a few thousand dollars, and the $15K–$85K all-attendee assets selling out first. Title sponsors in 2025 included OKX, Coinbase, TRON, Bitget and DWF Labs.
Why should a brand activate around TOKEN2049?
TOKEN2049 concentrates the global crypto industry's capital and commercial decision-makers, 25,000 in Singapore, 15,000 in Dubai, into one city for a week, with 500–1,000 side events where most of the real deal-making happens. A badge gives you access to that crowd; it doesn't give you an audience. Hosting your own TOKEN2049 Week event does, you decide which founders, funds and partners are in the room instead of inheriting a badge mix that spans C-suite to first-time retail, and it usually comes in below the cost of a headline sponsorship. The semi-annual Singapore–Dubai rhythm then lets the same format, guest list and venue relationships compound twice a year.
What is the best way for a brand to activate around TOKEN2049?
Own the room rather than rent attention on the expo floor. With 500+ exhibitors competing for the same eyeballs, CH3's sponsorship ROI research puts the average floor sponsor at roughly a minute and a half of contact per attendee, while a hosted side event holds a curated group for a full evening at a fraction of the cost per attention-hour. From there, match format to objective: yacht receptions and investor dinners for pipeline, technical workshops for builders, large-format parties for awareness. And book early, Singapore's TOKEN2049 week doubles as F1 week, and Dubai's premium inventory around Madinat Jumeirah is finite.
