Anchor Conference Frequently Asked Questions Common Questions

What is an anchor conference?

An anchor conference is one large enough that an entire industry plans its year around it — ICE Barcelona draws 62,988 professionals, SiGMA 30,000, TOKEN2049 Singapore 25,000. The host city fills for the week, and the calendar that forms around the venue becomes a market of its own.

Which anchor conferences does CH3 work?

More than twenty across crypto, gaming, corporate and tech, on four continents — including EthCC, Devcon, Devconnect, TOKEN2049, ETHDenver, Paris Blockchain Week, Web Summit, SBC Summit, SiGMA, ICE, MWC, Gamescom and CES. The conferences with a full CH3 guide are linked from the tiles above.

How far ahead should a brand plan around an anchor conference?

As soon as the host city is announced. Venue inventory is contracted months out and the strongest rooms go first — for EthCC in Cannes, TOKEN2049 in Singapore and Dubai, and Devcon, the best venues are typically gone before the conference agenda is published.

What does presence at an anchor conference cost?

It varies by conference and by format. Devcon sells no sponsorship tiers at all; TOKEN2049 quotes bespoke packages against a prospectus; SiGMA’s entry-level exhibitor packages have been reported from around €10,000–11,000; and a modest stand at a major gaming show runs $30,000–70,000 before staffing.

Why do these conferences matter more than their attendance suggests?

Because the week is bigger than the venue. EthCC peaked at around 580 side events against roughly 6,500 badges, and TOKEN2049 Singapore ran about 1,000. On the gaming circuit the opposite holds — ICE carries roughly one event per 630 attendees, so the evenings are largely uncontested.

What does CH3 do at an anchor conference?

Everything off the main floor: side events, brand activations, executive dinners, satellite conferences and parties — from venue sourcing through on-site delivery, run by a permanent local team in the host city.
