Event Production Rio de Janeiro
Event Agency Rio de Janeiro
For Corporate, Tech, Crypto & Gaming Events
Dedicated Lead · Global Standards · Zero Handoffs
Five conference weeks a year, split between Barra and the port — an hour of traffic apart. We produce the programme that runs beside them: houses, receptions, working sessions and closed dinners. Nine of them inside one Devcon week in Bogotá, from a 400-guest party to a twenty-seat brainstorm.

Rio Services Event Production
Conference-week side events, beachfront receptions, rooftop parties and closed dinners for twenty.
01
Conferences & Summits
Riocentro carries 30,000 at Web Summit and 15,000 at SBC. Below that: Cidade das Artes, ExpoRio and the Píer Mauá warehouses, then hotel salons from 40 to 300. Registration, AV, staging and speaker handling included.
02
Side Events & Satellite Activations
Nine in one Bogotá week — a party for 400, a hackathon dinner for 120, a workshop, a partner meeting beside the convention centre. In Rio the evenings run away from the halls.
03
Brand Experiences & Activations
Outdoors solves a volume problem: Hightop moved 300 people through an open-air build in Bogotá with no door queue. Rio gives the same option on sand, rooftops and the port warehouses.
04
Gala Dinners & Award Ceremonies
Beachfront ballrooms in Copacabana and Ipanema, mansions in Santa Teresa. Menu, entertainment, staging, run of show, and the Brazilian supplier contracts in our name rather than yours.
05
Cocktail Parties & Networking Events
Sunset decides the room here: a rooftop in Leblon, a terrace above Ipanema, a deck on the bay. Book the hour first and the venue second — the reverse is how these evenings go wrong.
06
Executive Dinners & Private Dining
Twenty to eighty covers in the Jardim Botânico and Leblon. The format Safe used in Bogotá for its Guardians session and Zerion for its investor meeting — seated, working, no open door.
07
Tradeshow Booths & Exhibition Stands
Drawings, fabrication, install, breakdown and freight at Riocentro, ExpoRio and Píer Mauá. Brazilian customs sets this timeline, not the show date, so anything shipped in is committed months ahead.
08
Game, Brand & Product Launches
Market entries timed to the conference calendar, when the press and the creators are already in town. Venue, staging, AV, press handling and live capture, with crew who work in Portuguese.
09
VIP Experiences
Boats out of the bay, helicopter transfers over the mountains, cabanas held for the week, tables where there is no public booking line. Small groups, high cost per head, worth it for the right ten people.
10
Corporate Retreats & Offsites
The mountains above the city or the coast east of it, both inside two hours. Venue, transport, rooms, meeting space and the social programme quoted as one budget, not five.
South America Portfolio Nine Events, One Conference Week
Nine client events in five days during Devcon in Bogotá — 1,305 guests, from a 400-person brand house down to a twenty-seat dinner. Every venue named below is one CH3 produced in.
AVALANCHE
House Party at VideoClub
Bogotá · 12 Oct 2022 · 400 PAX
Avalanche took the closing Wednesday of Devcon week, its own brand on the door and the room held until the small hours.
HIGHTOP
Outdoor Activation
Bogotá · 12 Oct 2022 · 300 PAX
Hightop and Ripe took their activation outdoors, the format that let three hundred people move through it without a door queue.
APWINE
Networking Drinks
Bogotá · 10 Oct 2022 · 150 PAX
Drinks on the Monday, a day ahead of the main programme, while the arriving crowd still had nothing else booked.
ETH GLOBAL
ETHBogotá Dinner
Bogotá · 8 Oct 2022 · 120 PAX
ETH Global gathered its ETHBogotá hackathon crowd on the Saturday — a standing dinner for a hundred and twenty before the halls opened.
SCROLL
Workshop and Dinner
Grand Hyatt, Bogotá · 10 Oct 2022 · 100 PAX
Scroll's brief ran to six hours of sessions and a seated meal in the same week, in a central area, with AV, catering and security all sourced locally.
SOLARIS
Evening Event
Bogotá · 12 Oct 2022 · 100 PAX
Solaris took the Wednesday, the most contested night of the week, with a hundred guests expected and no second date to fall back on.
QUARKCHAIN
Partner Meeting Beside Ágora
Hilton Corferias, Bogotá · 11 Oct 2022 · 80 PAX
QuarkChain asked for a room as close to the Ágora convention centre as possible, with projection, seating and light catering for eighty.
ZERION
Partner and Investor Meeting
Huerta, Bogotá · 12 Oct 2022 · 35 PAX
Zerion sat its partners and investors classroom-style rather than standing — a working meeting scheduled into a week of parties.
SAFE
Guardians Gathering
Errante 74, Bogotá · 10 Oct 2022 · 20 PAX
Safe ran its Guardians session as a brainstorm, twenty seats in classroom set-up, on the Monday before the conference opened.

Dietrich
CEO & Co-founder
Dietrich's events career started at 20, on the Belgian productions Tomorrowland and White Sensation. In 2020 he co-founded CH3 to carry that production quality into the crypto, gaming and tech industry, and has led its growth and strategy ever since — along with the client relationships that matter most to the company.
Fabiana
Event Lead — Rio de Janeiro
Fabiana runs CH3's event production in Rio de Janeiro, after twenty years in hospitality and operations. She owns the full arc — enquiry, supplier negotiation, programming, budget and delivery on the day — and holds an MBA in people management. One point of contact from the first call to the final invoice.
Industries We Serve
680+ events for 440 clients across Corporate & Tech, Crypto & Web3 and Gaming. In Rio all three verticals hold their own conference week.
01
Corporate & Tech
Web Summit fills Riocentro in June and ROG.e takes the same halls for the energy industry in September. Around both sit the client dinners, partner programmes and launches that never appear on the official schedule.
- Corporate conferences & summits
- Executive dinners & leadership offsites
- Product launches & brand experiences
- MICE events & corporate retreats
- Riocentro · Píer Mauá · Barra da Tijuca
02
Crypto & Web3
Blockchain Rio Week runs across ExpoRio, the Museu do Amanhã and Casa Camolese each August — three venues, three formats, one week. The same shape as the Devcon week we produced nine events inside, in Bogotá.
- Side events & satellite activations
- Hackathons & builder events
- Protocol summits & community gatherings
- Investor & founder dinners
- Blockchain Rio Week 11–13 Aug · ExpoRio, Cidade Nova

- Game & product launches
- Tradeshow booths & expo activations
- Operator & affiliate summits
- Esports events & brand activations
- SBC Summit Rio 2–4 Mar 2027 · BiS SiGMA São Paulo 5–8 Apr 2027
CH3 Guarantees How We Work
Fees fixed in writing before anything begins, and one named producer who stays on the job.
12h
Same-Day Answers, Wherever You Brief From
Briefs arrive from every timezone we work in, and none of them wait overnight for a reply. Twelve hours, answered, whatever the clock says where you are.
48h
Forty-Eight Hours to a Costed Plan
Two days later you hold a shortlist, a production outline and a line-by-line budget in reais — early enough that the dates on it are still available.
On-Site
Every Rio Venue Walked Before You Commit
A listing will not tell you which way a rooftop faces at 18:00, what power the terrace carries, or where a truck parks when the street is closed. So we stand in it first, with you or on live video.
Global
The Same Build Standard as Every CH3 City
Distance changes the logistics, never the specification. The run of show, the supplier vetting and the on-site crew match every other CH3 city.
Fixed
Rio Quotes, Normalised So You Can Compare Them
Minimum spend, hire fee plus catering, or all-in per guest — and service and tax treated differently in each. Restated in one shape, a shortlist becomes comparable; left as received, it is three guesses.
One PM
The Person Who Takes the Brief Runs the Night
The producer who took the brief is in the room on the night, and answers for it either way.
Rio de Janeiro — When & Where To Organise an Event
When — Rio's Key Conference Windows
Rio's year has two squeezes, at opposite ends of the city, and 2026 ran to pattern. Late May to mid June: Rio2C at Cidade das Artes, then Web Summit at Riocentro a week later, both in Barra. August: Rio Innovation Week at Píer Mauá, then Blockchain Rio Week in Cidade Nova. March belongs to SBC Summit and September to ROG.e — SBC returns to Riocentro on 2–4 March 2027. January and the last quarter stay open.
| Conference | Dates | Category | Size | Status | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| SBC Summit Rio | 3–5 Mar 2026 | Gaming & iGaming | 15,000+ | Next: 2–4 Mar 2027 | Third edition, and the show that takes Riocentro in March. The next runs 2–4 March 2027. CH3 produces side events at the Lisbon edition of the same conference. |
| Rio2C | 26–31 May 2026 | Creative Industries | 53,000+ | 2026 edition held | Six days at Cidade das Artes in Barra — audiovisual, music, games, advertising and brands across twenty-plus stages. The largest creative-industries event in Latin America, and the first half of Rio's May–June double. |
| Web Summit Rio | 8–11 Jun 2026 | Tech & Startups | 30,000+ | 2026 edition held | Thirty thousand attendees and around 1,500 startups at Riocentro, a week after Rio2C closes in the same district. Hotels in Barra and the south zone are committed months ahead of it. |
| Rio Innovation Week | 4–7 Aug 2026 | Innovation & Tech | 180,000 | 2026 edition held | Four days in the warehouses of Píer Mauá, with around two thousand startups and forty stages. The largest footfall of any Rio business event, and the opening act of the August run. |
| Blockchain Rio Week | 11–13 Aug 2026 | Crypto & Web3 | 15,000+ | 2026 edition held | Three days across three venues — the forum at the Museu do Amanhã and the C-level evening at Casa Camolese on the 11th, then the main event at ExpoRio. Side events cluster in Cidade Nova and the port. |

Where — Best Event Areas in Rio de Janeiro
Rio is not walkable, and the district decides the evening. Barra holds the conference halls, the south zone the hotels and restaurants, the port the warehouses. An hour of traffic sits between the first and the last — a guest-list problem, not a detail.Explore the Rio Neighbourhood Map →
Conferences · Large Formats
Barra da Tijuca & Barra Olímpica
Riocentro and Cidade das Artes sit here, which makes Barra the address for anything at conference scale. Everything else is spread out and car-dependent, so evening formats rarely stay in the district once the halls close.
Private Dining · Executive Formats
Leblon & Jardim Botânico
The quietest and most expensive corner of the south zone — chef's tables, garden restaurants and private rooms. Right for 20 to 80 guests and for anything that should not look like a conference. Parking is the constraint, not space.
Conference Weeks · Trade Shows
Cidade Nova & Centro
ExpoRio anchors the business district, with the metro at the door and the financial centre around it. Best for daytime programmes and anything tied to Blockchain Rio Week; the area empties after office hours.
Receptions · Hotel Formats
Copacabana & Ipanema
Where delegates sleep, and where the hotel ballrooms and rooftop bars are. Best for anything guests should reach on foot after a day in the halls. Highest hotel rates in the city that week.
Activations · Late Formats
Porto Maravilha & Lapa
The regenerated port — Píer Mauá's warehouses, the Museu do Amanhã and the Boulevard Olímpico, with Lapa behind it for anything that runs past midnight. The most room to build, and the cheapest square metre near the centre.
Retreats · Closed Programmes
Santa Teresa & the Serra
The hills above the city and the mountains behind it — mansions, small hotels and meeting rooms away from the noise. Best for offsites, board programmes and anything that needs the team in one place for two days.

Corporate Events Rio de Janeiro
01
Does CH3 produce corporate events in Rio de Janeiro?
Yes. Leadership summits, conferences, executive dinners, launches, offsites and VIP programmes, for companies running events in Brazil without a local office. In South America that work already includes Americares and the University of Oxford in Bogotá, and SSAB in Medellín. Rio is CH3's South America hub: twelve permanent hubs behind it, 680+ events of production experience, and one lead who owns the region.
02
How much does an event in Rio de Janeiro cost?
Cost is driven by guest count and format, and our South American benchmarks are close to the mark. Across seventeen events produced in Colombia, all-in cost ran around €98 per guest for receptions and parties of a hundred or more, and around €143 per guest for workshops, meetings and closed formats — the smaller the room, the higher the per-head, from €104 a head at a 400-guest party to €448 at a thirteen-person offsite. Rio venues quote three ways — hire fee plus catering, minimum spend, or all-in per guest — and each treats service and tax differently, so two quotes for the same evening can look nothing alike and still mean the same thing. Expect conference-week premiums during SBC Summit, Web Summit or Blockchain Rio Week. We restate every quote in one shape and come back with a fixed fee and a line-by-line budget in reais within 48 hours of the brief.
03
Which clients has CH3 delivered for in South America?
Crypto and Web3 in Bogotá: Avalanche, ETH Global, Scroll, Safe, Zerion, QuarkChain, APWine, Solaris and Hightop — nine events inside one Devcon week, from a 400-guest party to a twenty-seat brainstorm. Corporate since then: Americares, the University of Oxford and, in Medellín, SSAB. Rio itself is a new market for CH3, and we do not claim events there that have not happened.
04
Can CH3 handle a full conference or LatAm summit in Rio?
Yes. Riocentro carries 30,000 delegates at Web Summit and 15,000 at SBC Summit; ExpoRio takes the Blockchain Rio main floor; Píer Mauá adds roughly 70,000 square metres of warehouse with its own convention centre behind it. CH3 manages venue sourcing, delegate logistics, AV and staging, catering, the on-site team and post-event reporting. Brief us as early as you can for anything at that scale, and earlier still if it sits inside a conference week.
05
We have no Brazilian entity. Can CH3 manage everything remotely?
Yes, and it is the standard model. Clients brief us remotely, approve by email and fly in for the event itself. CH3 holds the supplier relationships, runs site visits on live video, contracts and pays locally in reais, and handles Portuguese-language agreements, deposit schedules and Brazilian invoicing rules. No Brazilian entity and no local contact required. The producer who takes the brief is in the room on the day.
06
Does CH3 organise corporate retreats and offsites out of Rio?
Yes. The mountains above the city for a two-day offsite, or the coast east of it when the team should be properly away — both inside two hours by road. Venue, transport, accommodation, meeting rooms and the social programme are quoted as one budget. Corporate Retreats & Offsites is one of CH3's ten service lines, and the largest we have delivered ran thirty days for 300+ people.
Tech, Crypto & Gaming Events Rio de Janeiro
07
What tech, crypto and gaming events does CH3 produce in this region?
The full spectrum: side events and satellite activations, hackathon and builder programmes, community conferences, receptions and rooftop parties, brand activations, launches, tradeshow stands and VIP formats. The Bogotá week shows the range — a 400-guest party at VideoClub, an ETHBogotá hackathon dinner for 120, a six-hour workshop with a seated dinner, a partner meeting beside the Ágora convention centre, and a twenty-seat brainstorm in classroom set-up.
08
What is the best area for side events in Rio?
Copacabana and Ipanema first, because that is where delegates sleep and the walk back matters more than the address. Leblon and the Jardim Botânico for seated dinners of 20 to 80. Porto Maravilha when you need to build something at scale, and Lapa when the night has to run past midnight. Barra only when your guests are already at Riocentro and staying nearby — an hour of traffic between the halls and the south zone is a guest-list problem, not a detail.
09
How far ahead should I book around Rio's conference weeks?
Two windows are the ones to plan around: late May to mid June is Rio2C and Web Summit back to back in the same district, and August is Rio Innovation Week followed by Blockchain Rio Week at the other end of the city. Hotels in Barra and the south zone, the better rooftops and the reliable crews all commit well ahead of those dates. SBC Summit in March and ROG.e in September sit in between. Tell us the window and we will tell you what is still open.
10
Conference week is crowded. How do we avoid being background noise?
Spend the budget on what only Rio offers — a rooftop at sunset, a deck on Guanabara Bay, a room in the hills with the city below it. None of it competes with a hotel function room, and all of it photographs well enough to keep working after the night ends. Timing counts as much as address: the hour you pick decides who can actually come, which is why we book the slot before the venue.
11
Whose job is the door once guests start arriving?
Registration, RSVP tracking, door lists and check-in are standard production here. During a conference week every guest is being pulled to four other things that hour, so the door decides whether the event works.
12
What makes CH3 different from a local Rio agency?
Most agencies here are MICE generalists or marketing shops with an events arm. CH3 is neither. We are native to corporate, tech, crypto and gaming events, which is the audience and the pace Rio's calendar runs on. Fixed fees agreed upfront, a detailed run of show, one named producer from brief to invoice. And conference weeks are the core of the business — nine events inside one week in Bogotá, at conferences that now run Brazilian editions. Behind that: 680+ events for 440 clients across 38 cities.
CH3 Hubs 12 Hubs, 38 Cities
12 permanent hubs, 38 cities, 680+ events. Beyond the twelve, we take work from returning clients only.
